Yarrow

Yarrow has so many wonderful qualities.  The flower head is a cluster that forms on the top of the stem that shoots out of the most lacy greens, giving a delicate look to the entire plant.  We wildcraft white yarrow on our property.  We also planted a cultivar that has many colors to the flowers.  We hope to be picking both this summer. Each of these varieties have flower clusters about 3-4″ is diameter.

Yarrow, with its sturdy stems would make a nice addition to a summer drink, using the the stemmed flower as a stirrer. it is little more environmentally friendly than the little umbrellas.  Let us know if you would like yarrow with stems as we usually cut the stems short when picking edible flowers.
